JOSEPH KHARGIE

President

Born in Guyana, Joseph immigrated to Canada at a young age in December 1991. Founder of Math Thru Music, he has well over a decade of experience creating and implementing youth engagement strategies. Through his strong leadership skills, tens of thousands of young people have been positively affected. He has initiated high-level partnerships with police services, community partners, school boards and large corporations.

Joseph has hands-on experience with program creation, facilitation and administration. His innovation and dedication has been highly sought after and complete with accolades such as a 2016 Inspirational Award, 2017 Top 40 Under 40 Leadership Award and most recently a 2020 Business Excellence Award.

Mr. Khargie is a doer and has a passion for helping young people find their purpose.



PETER KARL YOUNGREN

Chief Operations Officer

Peter has spent over two decades working in the not-for-profit space; specifically with educational institutions. He started his career at nineteen in a refugee camp in Rwanda in 1994. It was here that he saw first-hand how powerful charitable work can be in transforming even the most horrific circumstances.

Since then Peter has founded two large-scale charities; working in over 500 schools across fifty-five school boards. He has worked with all levels of government to implement unique, educational programming for young people.

To date, over 125,000 students have participated in programming designed by Peter and his team.



SUNEIL MATTHEW BABOOLAL

Research & Evaluation

Suneil has a strong track record of creating positive impacts within the Greater Toronto Area. With a focus on impactful programming, curriculum, and special projects, he has consistently worked towards making a meaningful difference

Suneil is a certified teacher and holds a Bachelor’s Degree (BASc) in Psychology from the University of Guelph. Currently, he is currently working towards a Masters of Arts in Child Study & Education at the University of Toronto.

Drawing on his skills and knowledge in youth work, research and human development, Suneil has played a crucial role in maximizing initiatives like those at Math Thru Music that drive successful youth outcomes. His commitment to leading by example and fostering collaboration underscores his approach to spreading positive change. Through a dedication to creating opportunities that deliver the greatest impact, Suneil aims to continue his mission of catalyzing transformative change within his communities.
